Help Diza & 20 other girls stay in school!
When we met Diza last week she had R7 to her name, which she had to choose between buying a nappy for her 1 year old daughter (to avoid nappy rash) or to buy bread to eat for her and her 7 year old sister. Diza is 15 years old - her mother died and her father abandoned them. She had to drop out of school to take care of her sibling and she does not have an ID or any access to a social grant. Her 2mx4m shack was the cleanest I'v ever seen. She was neat and tidy - not expecting a visitor at all.
When we asked her what her wish is right now, she said "school, I want to go back to school, I love learning. If life was different, I would choose school above all things that I need".
With no food to eat, no ability to work, struggling to get an ID/Birth certificate, Diza's only wish is to go back to school. Let's rally together and help her and 20 other girls like Diza reach their dreams and give them not just a hand out but a hand up!
Your contribution will go to the following:
Enrolment into school
Enrolment into an internationally recognised skills & leadership project
Dignity Packs (sanitary towels & toiletries)
Assistance with legal documents i.e. Birth certificates, IDs and social grants where needed
Even though Diza is little, she is fierce.
Your contribution will help Diza be who and what she wants to!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
